CIRS

Chronic inflammatory response syndrome — persistent, multi-system inflammation that may follow biotoxin exposure.

Overview

Understand the diagnosis. Then widen the lens.

Chronic inflammatory response syndrome describes a pattern of ongoing innate immune activation that may follow exposure to biotoxins, most often from water-damaged buildings and mold, and sometimes tick-borne or other exposures.

Because symptoms span many systems and routine labs often appear normal, the exposure history, visual contrast testing, and specific inflammatory and regulatory markers are interpreted together.

Common signs and symptoms

The presentation can be wider than one system.

Persistent fatigue
Brain fog or memory changes
Headaches
Muscle aches or joint pain
Light sensitivity or blurred vision
Shortness of breath or sinus congestion
Temperature dysregulation or night sweats
Numbness, tingling, or static-shock sensations
Symptoms overlap across many conditions. This list is educational and cannot confirm or exclude a diagnosis.

Factors we may explore

Not a checklist of causes. A map for better questions.

No single factor explains every case. These are clinical layers that may help organize the history and determine what deserves closer attention.

01

Exposure history

Home, workplace, school, and past water damage, mold, or tick exposure help establish timing and ongoing load.

02

Innate immune activation

Inflammatory and complement markers, along with the symptom timeline, help describe current immune activity.

03

Regulatory neuropeptides

Markers such as MSH and VIP, hormones, and visual contrast sensitivity may add context to how the body is responding.

04

Energy and recovery

Mitochondrial capacity, sleep, exertion tolerance, and nervous-system load shape day-to-day function.

The Aquarian approach

Data becomes useful when it is interpreted in context.

For complex or persistent symptoms, The Reclamation Experience brings your history, existing records, targeted testing, ART, biological data, and nervous-system patterns into one clinical synthesis.

Investigate

Review what has already been done and identify meaningful gaps.

Synthesize

Cross-read the layers instead of treating each result as a separate story.

Sequence

Clarify what deserves attention first, what can wait, and how to reassess.
